How to plant vegetables in a raised bed or planter box

1) Fill the bed/box with Terra Blends Premium Potting Mix and level the surface using a rake.

2) For large vegetable starts, dig a hole 2-3 times the size of the root ball. Gently loosen the root ball and place the plant in the hole. Fill the hole with water then fill with Terra Blends Premium Potting Mix. Once the hole is filled, press down with your hands to set the plant. Water again.

3) For smaller vegetable starts/tray packs, create a small hole using your hand then gently break apart the plant and place in the hole. Fill it with Terra Blends Premium Potting Mix and pat around the plant to set it. Water plant.

4) For seeds, dig a shallow trench using two fingers. Sprinkle the seeds in lightly and evenly. Gently push a thin layer of Terra Blends Premium Potting Mix over the seeds then moisten the soil lightly. Make sure to check the seed packet instructions for planting depth.
